4TY Construction Company Completes Office Building Extension

ONPA has announced the recent completion of its 800-square foot office building extension. The extension was constructed by the 4TY Construction Company as selected from three bidders. Actual work on the project began on September 11, 2007. Nearly seven months later, the Department of Transportation, Communication & Infrastructure (TC&I) finished its final inspection and officially confirmed the completion of the project. With that, April 24, 2008 marked not only the completion of the office extension but another milestone for the Compliance and Investigation Division (CID) as well as ONPA as whole.

The CID moved into the new space which is nearly four times larger than the former CID section of the building. The annex consists of the Chief Investigator's room, an interview room, an evidence room and two spacious working stations for two Investigators. In addition, the evidence room will soon accommodate a server for the entire office.

On April 28, 2008, CID staff started moving their desks and filing cabinets to the new annex. Now all three investigators have settled comfortably into their respective work spaces. As commented by one of the three Investigators “just coming out from the cramped room and now in this bigger space is really great.” In fact, the annex has provided the three investigators the proper environment for conducting their work. In addition, while the new extension alleviates the congestion problems within the entire office.

ONPA extends its appreciation to the 4TY Construction Company for the work and the Department of TC&I for its role in managing the project.
