New Admin Officer

The Office of the National Public Auditor announces the recent promotion of Lover Haimin to the position of Administrative Officer. Lover has been employed by the ONPA since June 2007. He served as the assistant to the former Administrative Officer prior to his promotion in January 2009

Lover is originally from the island of Ta, Mortlocks, in the State of Chuuk, Federated States of Micronesia. He completed his education at the University of the South Pacific in Suva, Fiji where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Management and Public Administration. Prior to that, he attended the College of Micronesia-FSM and received an Associate of Art degree in Micronesian Studies.

As the Administrative Officer, Lover reports directly to the Public Auditor. He is responsible for overseeing all administrative activities within the office which includes personnel administration, purchasing of office supplies and equipment, the review of expenditure reports, and preparation of the office's annual budget. Lover represents the ONPA at all budget justification proceedings.

Lover has been a key player in the Administrative Division. In his new position as Administrative Officer, Lover's main objective will be to continuously improve the Administrative Division and enhance the delivery of support services to the staff and the Public Auditor. Lover and the Administrative Services staff will continue to assist the ONPA in accomplishing its mission of holding government agencies accountable for their use of public funds. .

Lover stated that his job is a blessing and he is thankful for it. He looks forward to the opportunity to work, learn and develop professionally within the ONPA team.
